CNY Fireworks.

Just like the Thursday night before, when we watched the parade, we met friends on Friday at 4:00 p.m. to walk to Tamar Park for a picnic so that we could stake out a spot to watch the fireworks in celebration of Chinese New Year.

This was our first time visiting Tamar Park, and it was an ideal spot to watch the fireworks over the harbor. With plenty of space to picnic, our kids enjoyed running around in the four hours we were there before the show started at 8:00.

Our picnic was casual. We had plenty of munchies and three different dips to sample. We picked up a couple buckets of fried chicken from KFC in Admiralty to share with our friends. Using coupons that we picked up before the parade in TST, we purchased a Hello Kitty cake from Maxim's Bakery.

Occupying two children for four hours required several games of tag, several games with the Uno cards, playing catch with a volleyball and a tennis ball, and a lot of attention from their adopted Aunties.

The fireworks show started right on time and lasted almost 30 minutes! It was a fantastic show, with Chinese characters, goats/rams/sheep, and Valentine's hearts in the display! The crowd with us in Tamar Park was not bad at all. There was no one pushing into your back which meant there was plenty of space to enjoy the show.

Here's to 2015 and the year of the goat/sheep/ram!!!
