Hiking Sai Kung East Country Park.

If you were to turn the Sai Kung East Country Park a little, the park would mimic that of Hong Kong Island in size. You could say it's one large country park or one small Hong Kong Island. The park is located on the east Sai Kung Peninsula.

It's a beautiful hike with a lovely paved path wide enough for people to pass comfortably. The walk going down to the beach was fairly easy, but the trek back out was fairly difficult because the incline is so steep. With young children, it is something to keep into consideration for future hikes.

This park is huge. It holds the High Island dam and reservoir {pictured above}, camping sites, beaches, a handful of villages, and great mountain hikes. There are so many breathtaking views and such a contrast from all the concrete and skyscrapers that Hong Kong is so famous for.
