Hong Kong has some pretty great modes of transportation. My personal favorite when I'm over on Hong Kong Island is to take the tram. Hong Kong has beautiful double decker trams that run from Kennedy Town to Shau Kei Wan. Often the trams are packed with passengers and you're rubbing elbows with strangers, but if you ride on the right day and at the right time, you can get a lovely seat up on the top, which is my favorite place to sit.
