Kowloon Walled City Park.

We actually happen to live near the Kowloon Walled City Park and love visiting this place. Today, it is so peaceful, calm, quiet, and beautiful. However, back in the 1800's it was a place known for it's corruption and promiscuity.

In the 1980's this ghetto was replaced and turned into a park. What is left of the original city walls, is the imperial government administration building and is pictured in the first set of photographs.

Our children love visiting the chess garden and the Chinese zodiac garden with statues of the twelve Chinese zodiac animals. Even with living so close to this park, we still a lot of exploring to do within it's perimeters.
