When we first moved to Hong Kong, I was appalled at the price of a manicure and pedicure. The first year we were here I was treated to a mani/pedi for my birthday, but the fifty dollar (US dollar) price tag that came with it just didn't seem to justify the experience. Then a friend of mine introduced me to Nail 88 and all of a sudden mani/pedi's became affordable again. Nail 88 has shops all over the city of Hong Kong, and our favorite shop is the one located in Tsim Sha Tsui. Now my six year old daughter and I have started a fun new bonding tradition of getting pampered together. Expat life definitely takes time becoming familiar with what is available in the country you have moved to.
