It's already that time of year in the life of an expat, when my husband needs to start thinking of what the immediate future will look like for our family. In June of 2016, his contract will run out and we are currently trying to figure out whether to renew the contract with his current company or to seek employment elsewhere.
I think back to a year and a half ago, when we were still in our South Carolinian life as we knew it. We knew the future was going to change drastically, but we weren't exactly sure how it would play out. We had a vague idea in our mind, but the actuality of it was so uncertain. Now, {almost} two years later, we can look back and clearly see how God had our path clearly laid out before us. You can read my thoughts from that time in our life {here} and {here}.
It's in times like these that I cling to the knowledge that we can completely trust God to open and close the doors for us. I love reading the Bible and getting my encouragement from the Source.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
