Our staycation did have to come to an end. It was a full weekend packed with adventures we should have fit over the span of a week, but crammed it into a weekend. On our last day we rented kayaks and paddled out to an island where we swam around in the ocean and people paddle surfed around us.
The kids spent the night with our friends which allowed my husband and I to have some time to ourselves. We even got to have a breakfast date alone at a coffee shop in Sai Kung! We definitely cherish the time we get to spend without our kids and have time to talk without any interruptions.
One evening we left all the kids at our friend's house and the adults went into town for dinner. That time was also enjoyable since it was the first time we've really been able to do that without our children underfoot.
Don't get me wrong, I love my children, but as a parent who is with them twenty-four hours a day {literally}, it is nice when we all get a break from each other sometimes.
