The Beach At Lamma Island.

The beach on Lamma Island was a beautiful spot with not just white sand, but also trees that lent themselves to climbing. My kids love to climb, especially my son, and although he was recovering from two weeks of being sick, he still managed to make his way up the trunk and sat in the branches for a while. Our hike out to the beach was long and warm, so we rewarded the kids with some ice cream cones from a vendor once our toes hit the sand. Mama got a pina colada for her reward! 

Lamma Island.

On a spur of the moment one weekend, we decided to take the ferry out to Lamma Island. It's referred to as the "hippie island" of Hong Kong. The expats living on this island are typically more laid back and have a more relaxed approach to life. I wasn't sure what to expect once we got to the island, and not having done much research before hand we just aimlessly walked around the island to the beach where we got lunch and then walked back to the ferry. There were plenty of other tourists walking the paths with us, and we even met some friends we didn't realize were going to be visiting the island as well!
